Crossing Paths – April 18, 2016

Today’s Translation: New Living Translation | Weekly Video: Savior of the World (Acts 8:26-40)

“As for Philip, an angel of the Lord said to him, ‘Go south down the desert road that runs from Jerusalem to Gaza.’ So he started out, and he met the treasurer of Ethiopia, a eunuch of great authority under the Kandake, the queen of Ethiopia. The eunuch had gone to Jerusalem to worship, and he was now returning. Seated in his carriage, he was reading aloud from the book of the prophet Isaiah.” – Acts 8:26-28 (NLT)

Live It Out!

God allows us to cross paths with people whom only we can reach. As both a foreigner and a eunuch, this man stood no chance at being fully accepted into the Jewish community. But the Church is a family made up of all types of people because we are saved by what Jesus did not by what we do. Each one of us has been commissioned to be Jesus’ ambassador to the world. We all have our own sphere of influence, and we have a responsibility to represent Jesus to the people God has placed in our lives. Who knows, maybe the next person you reach will work for a queen!
