“Philip received another prompting from the Holy Spirit: Holy Spirit: ‘Go over to the chariot and climb on board.’ So he started running until he was even with the chariot. Philip heard the Ethiopian reading aloud and recognized the words from the prophet Isaiah. Philip: ‘Do you understand the meaning of what you’re reading?’ The Ethiopian: ‘How can I understand it unless I have a mentor?’ Then he invited Philip to sit in the chariot.” – Acts 8:29-31 (VOICE)

Live It Out!

In this age of instant communication and information overload, it is vital for us to be able to explain the basic tenets of our faith. Most people we come in contact with do not have a solid foundation when it comes to studying the Bible. The best thing we can do is engage people on social media while being willing to seek answers when we don’t understand something. Open and honest dialog can do wonders when it comes to breaking down barriers — but we must be humble in spirit.

Just as God called out Israel to be His witnesses during their time in exile, He is calling us out in our exile. This world is not our home. Let us stay focused on heaven above while telling people about what Jesus has done in our lives.
