Ethiopian Baptism – April 22, 2016

Today’s Translation: New International Version | Weekly Video: Savior of the World (Acts 8:26-40)

“As they traveled along the road, they came to some water and the eunuch said, ‘Look, here is water. What can stand in the way of my being baptized?’ And he gave orders to stop the chariot. Then both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water and Philip baptized him.” – Acts 8:36-38 (NIV)

Live It Out!

Jesus truly is the Savior of the world. From Jerusalem to Judea and Samaria and to the ends of the earth. Ethiopia would have been considered the ends of the known world at the time, and for a member of the queen’s court to be baptized would have been a big deal for the early Church. The Holy Spirit will position us to have great impact in this world if we are faithful in following His lead. Never pass up an opportunity to introduce someone to Jesus.
