A Restless Wanderer – September 23, 2016

When we lose contact with the God who created us, we begin to lose ourselves. A life without God is a life void of any real meaning. Like Cain, we would be restless wanderers if left to our own devices. However, there is Good News! The Samaritans were dependents of the northern kingdom of Israel (Israel split into two kingdoms after the reign of Solomon). For hundreds of years, they were separated from Jerusalem, the center of the Jewish faith. The coming of the Messiah brought these people (and many others) together under the new banner of the Church. Jew, Samaritan, Gentile, white, black, rich, poor — all secondary to our new identity in Christ.
