Today’s Translation : The Voice Bible | Weekly Video : Call of Abram (Genesis 12:1-9) “ I have plans to make a great people from your descendants. And I am going to put a special blessing on you and cause your reputation to grow so that you will become a blessing and example to others. ” – Genesis 12: 2 ( VOICE ) Live It Out! Abram was an old man with no children, but God promised to make him a great nation if he would simply step out in faith. No matter your age or where you are in life, God is not finished with you. Every blessing given to you is meant to be passed on to others. God did not promise to make Abram a great nation for his benefit but for the benefit of future generations. from Paradigm Shift Ministries http://ift.tt/2efq8WP via IFTTT
Today’s Translation: Holman Christian Standard Bible | Weekly Video: Kingdom Building (1 Corinthians 3:1-23) “According to God’s grace that was given to me, I have laid a foundation as a skilled master builder, and another builds on it. But each one must be careful how he builds on it. For no one can lay any other foundation than what has been laid down. That foundation is Jesus Christ.” – 1 Corinthians 3:10-11 (HCSB) Live It Out! No matter our color or our creed, we all (as Christians) share a common foundation — Christ lived a sinless life, died on a cross, rose from the dead, ascended into heaven and is coming back again. Our salvation is tied to our foundation. Denominational doctrine and stylistic preferences are to be of secondary concern. All too often, we allow ourselves to get hung up on the details while forgetting about the reason we started going to church in the first place — to worship the God who saves. from Paradigm Shift Ministries http://ift.tt/24immLy via I...
Today’s Translation : The Amplified Bible | Weekly Video : The Right Way (Acts 9:1-19) “So Ananias left and entered the house, and he laid his hands on Saul and said, ‘Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you came [to Damascus], has sent me so that you may regain your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit [in order to proclaim Christ to both Jews and Gentiles].’ Immediately something like scales fell from Saul’s eyes, and he regained his sight. Then he got up and was baptized; and he took some food and was strengthened.” – Acts 9:17-19 (AMP) Live It Out! It’s a beautiful thing when someone begins to follow Jesus because he or she is now part of a global family. When Ananias addresses Saul as brother, he is demonstrating great forgiveness. Following Jesus transcends anything that can divide us. The best way to break down barriers is to treat people like family. We can disagree, we can argue, we can fight, but we are still bound together by the blood of...
