For the first week of our Advent series, we looked at a prophecy made by Micah 700 years before the birth of Christ. Jesus was and is the promised Prince of Peace who would be born in the little town of Bethlehem. #630SN #ChurchOnTheGo #Advent #Christmas

The Samaritans were dependents of the northern kingdom of Israel (Israel split into two kingdoms after the reign of Solomon). For hundreds of years, they were separated from Jerusalem, the center of the Jewish faith. The coming of the Messiah brought these people (and many others) together under the new banner of the Church. Jew, Samaritan, Gentile, white, black, rich, poor — all secondary to our new identity in Christ.
