“Blessed [inwardly peaceful, spiritually secure, worthy of respect] are the gentle [the kind-hearted, the sweet-spirited, the self-controlled], for they will inherit the earth.” – Matthew 5:5 (AMP)

Live It Out!

The meek (or gentle) are blessed because they seek to be a blessing to others. By putting God first and others second, we allow ourselves to see the world from a whole new point of view. If we give in to every taunt or temptation, our testimony becomes weaker than when we keep our eyes fixed on the cross. God honors those who honor Him. In this world full of self-promotion, let our lives direct people to Jesus.
