Broken Bread – March 30, 2016

Today’s Translation: Holman Christian Standard Bible | Weekly Video: The New Covenant (Luke 22:14-23)

“And He took bread, gave thanks, broke it, gave it to them, and said, ‘This is My body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of Me.’” – Luke 22:19 (HCSB)

Live It Out!

When Jesus took the bread and broke it, He said “this is my body, broken for you.” As the Church, we too are His body, and we are very much broken today. Let us gather together in His name as often as we can so that we can remember the bitterness of His death. The cross, the ultimate symbol of suffering and shame, soon to be redeemed by the blood of the Lamb. When we eat the bread, may we do so as the unified body of Christ.
