Six Thirty Saturday Nite (The Poor in Spirit) – June 18, 2016

This week, we continued our #BlessedAre campaign by looking at Matthew 5:3, “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” We also looked at the parable of the Pharisee and the tax collector in Luke 18 as an example of pride vs. humility. Big idea for the week: what we need is less pride and more humility. It’s not about us; it’s all about Jesus.
