Righteous by Faith – October 26, 2016

“Now the word of the Lord came to him: “This one will not be your heir; instead, one who comes from your own body will be your heir.” He took him outside and said, “Look at the sky and count the stars, if you are able to count them.” Then He said to him, “Your offspring will be that numerous.” Abram believed the Lord, and He credited it to him as righteousness.” – Genesis 15:4-6 (HCSB)

Live It Out!

Abram was made righteous by his faith. If we want to see God’s promises fulfilled in our lives, then we must believe in both His power and His goodness. God reiterates His promises to His people throughout Scripture, and His Word holds true every time. We must put our faith in Him. There is nothing we can do on our own to make us righteous before our Most Holy God. We are made righteous by our faith.

Just as God called out Israel to be His witnesses during their time in exile, He is calling us out in our exile. This world is not our home. Let us stay focused on heaven above while telling people about what Jesus has done in our lives.
