Action Items – May 6, 2016

Today’s Translation: New International Version | Weekly Video: Us vs. Them: Part 1 (Acts 10:1-23)

“While Peter was wondering about the meaning of the vision, the men sent by Cornelius found out where Simon’s house was and stopped at the gate. They called out, asking if Simon who was known as Peter was staying there. While Peter was still thinking about the vision, the Spirit said to him, ‘Simon, three men are looking for you. So get up and go downstairs. Do not hesitate to go with them, for I have sent them.'” – Acts 10:17-20 (NIV)

Live It Out!

Any good meeting ends with a list of definable action items. When we meet God in prayer, we should expect to walk away with a list of things to do. God showed Peter a vision and immediately sent him on his way so he could see it fulfilled. When God gives you a dream or a passion, don’t sit on it. Instead of waiting, take a leap of faith knowing the Holy Spirit will guide your steps.

Just as God called out Israel to be His witnesses during their time in exile, He is calling us out in our exile. This world is not our home. Let us stay focused on heaven above while telling people about what Jesus has done in our lives.
