John’s Baptism – May 27, 2016

“So Paul asked, ‘Then what baptism did you receive?’ ‘John’s baptism,’ they replied. Paul said, ‘John’s baptism was a baptism of repentance. He told the people to believe in the one coming after him, that is, in Jesus.'” – Acts 19:3-4 (NIV)

Live It Out!

These disciples had heard about Jesus via John the Baptist. They had repented of their sin, but they did not know the whole story of how Jesus died for their sin and rose from the grave so they could be set free from their sin and death forever. Jesus is the Messiah. He is the one foretold by John the Baptist and all of the Old Testament prophets. Jesus alone is Lord and Savior. Let us commit ourselves to Him and His kingdom cause.
