Today’s Translation: The Amplified Bible | Weekly Video: Savior of the World (Acts 8:26-40)

“When they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord [suddenly] took Philip [and carried him] away [to a different place]; and the eunuch no longer saw him, but he went on his way rejoicing. But Philip found himself at Azotus, and as he passed through he preached the good news [of salvation] to all the cities, until he came to Caesarea [Maritima].” – Acts 8:39-40 (AMP)

Live It Out!

We all have different roles to play. Phillip was an evangelist, and the Spirit led him to where he needed to be. We are all guilty of both trying to do too much and not doing enough. With the way the Church is divided today, it is easy to forget we are all on the same team. Both collectively and individually, we need to know our roles so we can work together to build up the kingdom of God. At the end of the day, it is not about how big our congregations are; it is about how many people are with us when we get to heaven.
