Saul of Tarsus – April 25, 2016

Today’s Translation: New Living Translation | Weekly Video: The Right Way (Acts 9:1-19)

“Meanwhile, Saul was uttering threats with every breath and was eager to kill the Lord’s followers. So he went to the high priest. He requested letters addressed to the synagogues in Damascus, asking for their cooperation in the arrest of any followers of the Way he found there. He wanted to bring them— both men and women— back to Jerusalem in chains.” – Acts 9:1-2 (NLT)

Live It Out!

Before Paul became known as “the apostle to the gentiles,” he was Saul, Pharisee and infamous persecutor of Christians. He was present when Stephen became the first Christian martyr, and here he is on his way to round up believers in Damascus. Despite all this, God still chose him to be a leader in the Church. Paul would go on to plant churches, train pastors and write most of the New Testament. Know if Saul of Tarsus can become Paul the apostle, there is hope for us all.
