From Shame to Grace – September 16, 2016

Today’s Translation: New International Version | Weekly Video: Adam & Eve (Genesis 3:1-24) 

“The Lord God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them.” – Genesis 3:21 (NIV)

Live It Out!

Despite all that took place, God showed that He still cared for Adam and Eve by making them clothes to cover up their shame. However, that grace came at a cost – the skins used to make the clothes served as the first of many recorded sacrifices in the Bible. Our sin has a cost, but Jesus paid that cost for us because of the Father’s grace. We do not deserve it, and we cannot ever earn it, but it has been given to us nonetheless. Adam and Eve would go on to teach their children about the grace of God. Let us do the same.
