From Sin to Shame – September 13, 2016

Today’s Translation: The Voice Bible | Weekly Video: Adam & Eve (Genesis 3:1-24)

“Then they heard the sound of the Eternal God walking in the cool misting shadows of the garden. The man and his wife took cover among the trees and hid from the Eternal God.” – Genesis 3:8 (VOICE)

Live It Out!

Just like children who disobeyed their parents, Adam and Eve try to hide from God once they realize what they have done. The shame caused by their eyes being opened to good and evil led to a separation from the presence of God that lasts even today. But God being God, already had a plan of restoration in place – namely Jesus. We no longer have to live in our shame because Jesus paid our debt on the cross.
